In a much-awaited comeback, Matt and Jeff Hardy—commonly referred to as The Hardy Boyz—are poised to create WWE history with their forthcoming appearance on NXT. 

Planned for February 25, 2025, this match will represent a major achievement in their remarkable careers.

Historic NXT Appearance

The Hardy Boyz have agreed to a match against the No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne on NXT. 

This match is significant because it will mark The Hardys as the first tag team in WWE history to have participated in all of the major brands: Raw, SmackDown, and now NXT. 

This milestone highlights their adaptability and lasting popularity in the world of wrestling.  

Legacy of The Hardy Boyz

Making their WWE debut in 1998, The Hardy Boyz quickly rose to prominence due to their daring, aerial style, transforming tag team wrestling with their creative ladder and Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) matches. 

Throughout their career, they have amassed numerous championships, including:

  • WWE World Tag Team Championship: 6 times
  • Raw Tag Team Championship: 1 time
  • SmackDown Tag Team Championship: 1 time
  • WCW World Tag Team Championship: 1 time

Their comeback to WWE in 2017 during WrestleMania 33 was greeted with immense excitement, as they won the Raw Tag Team Championships in an exhilarating ladder match.  

Current Endeavors

As of January 2025, The Hardy Boyz hold the TNA World Tag Team Championships. 

In a recent interview, they conveyed that achieving these titles at this point in their careers holds significant importance, representing the culmination of their experiences across different promotions and personal obstacles. 

Jeff Hardy, reflecting on his journey of overcoming personal issues, remarked, “This is likely the most significant title I’ve ever held because I nearly reached a breaking point in 2022 when my drinking spiraled out of control.”
