Omos Breaks Silence on WWE Absence; ‘I’m Just Waiting’

The towering presence of Omos, also known as Tolulope Omogbehin, has been conspicuously absent from the squared circle following an extensive leave from WWE television. The 7’3″ Nigerian Giant, who last made an appearance during WrestleMania 40 weekend in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown, has left fans wondering about his current condition. Omos talked candidly about his break and his desire to go back into WWE action in a recent interview with WhatCulture.

A Period of Waiting

In response to a question regarding his present situation, Omos said quite frankly, “I’m just waiting.” He talked more about his time away from WWE, including his time in Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, where he got to wrestle with well-known wrestlers like Kaito Kiyomiya and Naomichi Marufuji. In retrospect, he remarked, “I had fun in Japan and I’m just patiently waiting.” Despite the uncertainty, Omos emphasized his readiness to return: “To be honest man I’m just ready to dominate. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than to get in a wrestling ring. So whenever that happens, I’m just ready and excited to get back in there”.

International Experience with Pro Wrestling NOAH

Omos joined Pro Wrestling NOAH, a Japanese wrestling organization, when he was gone from the WWE. Together with Jack Morris, he created a tag team, and the two of them won the GHC Tag Team Championship. But in the end, Omos gave up the belt and declared his desire to rejoin WWE. At a NOAH event, he stated, “I’m going back to WWE so I’ll give this belt to Daga. Please increase the value of this belt. The champs are now Jack Morris & Daga. I don’t know when but I’ll come back”.

Backstage Status and WWE’s Plans

According to rumors, WWE does not currently have any innovative ideas for Omos, despite his readiness. The choice to remove him from his NOAH run, especially while it was going well, has been questioned because his name hasn’t come up in any creative conversations, according to Wrestling Inc. Fans are wondering about his future with the company because of this lack of focus.

Social Media Teasers and Fan Speculation

Omos has continued to be active on social media, hinting at his comeback on occasion. He uploaded a picture of himself working out in the gym along with the mysterious one-word message, “Working…,” in March. The anticipation has been maintained by such posts, which have sparked fan speculation about his upcoming return.

A Special Attraction

Omos may be considered a “special attraction” by WWE, which is why he only shows up during important events rather than on a weekly basis. In the same way that WWE has previously booked celebrities like André the Giant and The Great Khali, this tactic seeks to preserve the air of exclusivity around his character.

Looking Ahead

Omos’s precise return date to WWE television is still unknown, but based on his remarks and social media activity, it appears that he is ready and willing to make a comeback. The excitement for the Nigerian Giant’s comeback to the WWE ring is growing as fans watch for his next move.
