On September 6, 2025, Toraya Reid, the 28-year-old sister of NBA player Naz Reid, was tragically discovered with fatal gunshot wounds outside her Jackson Township, New Jersey apartment complex.  Around 11 a.m., authorities responded to 911 calls reporting shots fired at the Paragon apartment complex, where Toraya was found unresponsive near the exit.  She was shot several times and did not survive the attack.
