Flores’ Clutch Hit and Webb’s Dominance Propel Giants to 4-2 Victory Over Brewers

The San Francisco Giants defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Wednesday night when Wilmer Flores hit a crucial two-run single in the sixth inning to end a scoreless stalemate.

In their current four-game series against the Brewers, this victory was the Giants’ second in three games.

Flores’ Clutch Performance

Flores took advantage of a scoring opportunity in the sixth inning against Brewers starter Freddy Peralta, who had held the Giants at bay through five innings.

With runners on base, his sharp single to right field drove in two runs, giving the Giants a lead they would hold for the rest of the game.

Webb’s Dominant Outing

With a shutout going into the seventh inning, Logan Webb, the Giants’ star pitcher, demonstrated his skill.

Webb improved his season record to 3-1 with six hits and five strikeouts over 6⅓ innings. His effort was crucial in establishing the game’s mood and controlling the Brewers’ offensive output.

Lee’s Offensive Contribution

Jung Hoo Lee recorded three hits during the game, maintaining his excellent form.

With a 14-2 record versus right-handed pitchers this season—the best in the majors—his steady play at the plate has been a huge contributor to the Giants’ success against them.

Closing the Game

Closer Camilo Doval made the save in the ninth inning by navigating through a difficult situation.

The Giants won thanks to Doval’s poise and strong pitching, even though the Brewers tried to rally.

Series Outlook

The Giants now lead the Brewers 2-1 in their four-game series after this victory.

The Giants will try to win the series in the final game, which is set for Thursday afternoon, while the Brewers will try to tie the series.
