Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Blames Police for His Injury Struggles

In Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season, Tyreek Hill’s lingering wrist injury took center stage as the Miami Dolphins faced the Los Angeles Rams on “Monday Night Football” at SoFi Stadium.

ESPN’s Lisa Salters reported that Hill, Miami’s standout wide receiver, has been playing with a torn ligament in his left wrist, an injury dating back to preseason. According to Salters, Hill explained that the injury worsened before Week 1, when he was detained by Miami-Dade Police officers.

“I spoke with [Hill] during pregame,” Salters shared. “He said his left wrist had been a concern during training camp, but it became a serious issue when he was detained and taken to the ground before the season opener.”

Salters also revealed Hill’s initial MRI results, which confirmed a torn ligament. Despite the injury, Hill has chosen to play through the pain, remaining relatively private about the matter.

“He’s been uncertain about how to handle it because he’s not accustomed to dealing with injuries,” Salters added. Hill remarked that the incident “messed me up,” but affirmed, “I’m not going to let it stop me.”
