As he gets ready for his impending WWE World Heavyweight Championship matchup against current champion Gunther, CM Punk has made comparisons between himself and the title character from the 2001 comedy film “Bubble Boy” in a distinctive fusion of pop culture and professional wrestling.

A Playful Nod to ‘Bubble Boy’

On March 28, 2025, CM Punk took to social media to share a still from “Bubble Boy,” humorously suggesting that even the protective bubble wouldn’t withstand Gunther’s formidable chops. He quipped, “Gunther would chop a hole in that bubble, like, SO fast.”

The much awaited championship fight is set for March 29, 2025, in Vienna, Austria.
