Over the past few years, American wrestling star Bo Nickal has quickly made a name for himself in mixed martial arts. Since joining the UFC, Nickal has shown impressive skill, and he’s set to return to the octagon next weekend, facing Paul Craig on the main card at UFC 309. This high-profile match, taking place at Madison Square Garden, comes with extra buzz, especially with former president Donald Trump hinting he may attend.
In a recent interview, Nickal outlined his long-term goals in the UFC, including his sights on the world title.

“For me, it’s all about development; I don’t want to skip steps,” he explained. “I’ve only fought six times in just over two years, since I started professionally in 2022. It’s great that fans want to see me compete, but I’m focused on improving at the right pace.”
Nickal envisions his path to the title as deliberate yet direct. “Maybe a ranked fighter next, then a top-five, and finally, the title,” he said. “I believe I can compete with the best right now, but by the time I reach that title fight, I want it to be a masterclass – where it’s clear I’m on a whole different level.”
