Barcelona’s Ansu Fati Out for Four Weeks with Hamstring Injury

Barcelona announced on Wednesday that winger Ansu Fati will be sidelined for approximately four weeks due to a right hamstring injury suffered during training. This latest setback adds to a series of injury struggles for the 22-year-old Spain international, who has faced multiple fitness challenges since his breakout in 2019.

“Ansu Fati has suffered a muscle injury (to his right hamstring) during training on Wednesday. He is expected to be out for around four weeks,” stated La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Fati’s absence means he will miss Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League clash against Brest on November 26, as well as key La Liga fixtures against Celta Vigo, Las Palmas, Mallorca, and Real Betis.

Additional Injury Concerns for Barcelona

Fati’s injury isn’t Barcelona’s only fitness issue. Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who recently broke Fati’s record as Barcelona’s youngest player and goalscorer, is also sidelined for approximately three weeks due to an ankle injury.

The Catalan side is dealing with other injuries as well, including veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, who has a minor back problem. Key players Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen, and Ronald Araujo are also out, adding to Barcelona’s list of unavailable players.

Despite these challenges, Barcelona will aim to maintain their momentum as La Liga leaders while managing a demanding schedule across domestic and European competitions.
